East Turkestan Stamps

East Turkestan revenue stamps document the fiscal history of the Second East Turkestan Republic and the Three Districts administration in northern Xinjiang (Sinkiang) during the 1940s. Established following the Ili uprising in 1944 with Soviet support, the republic encompassed the districts of Ili, Tarbaghatai and Altai.
